Singer and songwriter Sarah Miner released her first EP It's Alright With Me a few years back with an all-star band that included Jen Allen on piano, Dave Zinno on bass, Rick Madej on drums, and Adam Scherer on guitar. With roots in the theatre, Sarah Miner has performed across the United States from the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles to Off-Broadway in the Big Apple and has been hailed by the New York Times as "making a particular impression" as one of the "promising voices on display."  It was during her time performing in Detroit that she often found herself frequenting jazz clubs and sitting in on late night sets. Soon after, she was invited to sing at the iconic Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island with Alex Graham and The Grand Hotel Orchestra. However, her most accomplished musical moment came when she was asked to sing a jazzy rendition of God Bless America accompanied by pianist David Shenton before Tony Bennett took the stage at Staten Island's St. George Theatre.

As a songwriter, she has written a number of songs with her fellow Nutmegger and guitar friend, Adam Scherer. They’ve performed many of them around Connecticut and at Infinity Hall in Norfolk.

She is currently on faculty in the School of Communication at the University of Hartford and has been known to sing in the halls.
